Description
Lavochkin La-15 “Fantail” in 1/144 scale is a plastic model kit by Armory Models representing an early Soviet jet fighter developed during the immediate post-war years. The aircraft belonged to the first generation of jet-powered fighters introduced by the Soviet Union after World War II.
The La-15 was designed by the Lavochkin design bureau as part of the rapid development of jet aviation in the late 1940s. Although it demonstrated strong flight characteristics and served with Soviet units for a short period, the aircraft was eventually replaced by other jet fighter designs as aviation technology progressed.

The aircraft received the NATO reporting name “Fantail” and featured a distinctive swept-wing configuration typical of early jet fighters. Its development reflected the transition from piston-powered fighters to jet-powered combat aircraft during the early Cold War period.
