Aftermarket 3D printed accessory for aircraft scale model kits designed to reproduce the 300 gallon centerline fuel tank with pylon (Type 1) used on the General Dynamics F-16 Fighting Falcon and the Mitsubishi F-2.
This component supports accurate 1/48 scale aircraft model builds by representing the large external centerline fuel tank commonly installed on the aircraft’s fuselage station to extend operational range.
External fuel tanks are a characteristic part of many F-16 and F-2 mission configurations. Replacing simplified kit parts with a dedicated aftermarket tank helps refine the overall shape, mounting geometry and the connection between the tank and its pylon.
The included pylon allows the tank to be mounted correctly on the centerline station, helping achieve a realistic aircraft loadout configuration.
For modelers: dry-fit the pylon to the fuselage centerline position before painting to confirm alignment. Assemble the tank and pylon together and check the fit before final installation.
