Metallic Details MDP72018 is a 3D Decals set for ACES II seat belts in 1/72. It is aimed at modern jet cockpits where the seat is a focal point even under a closed canopy, adding readable harness geometry and buckle relief that is often simplified in kit parts at this scale.
The set is suitable for compatible 1/72 aircraft kits that depict the ACES II ejection seat. Seat depiction can vary between manufacturers, so belt placement should be matched to your kit’s seat shape and any molded-on cushions or straps.
For modelers: lightly sand off any raised “belt” detail on the kit seat if it conflicts with the decal placement, then paint the seat and apply a smooth clear coat. Position the 3D decals using small amounts of water, adjust alignment while they remain movable, and press them down gently into corners and over cushions. Add a thin final clear coat only if you need to unify sheen; keep it light to preserve the raised effect.
