The short version of the AN/ALQ-101 pod is visually distinct due to its reduced length and balanced proportions. Adding a dedicated ECM pod can improve the mission-specific appearance of tactical and strike aircraft without modifying pylons or wing structure.
For modelers: test-fit the pod to the selected pylon before painting and confirm correct alignment from front and side views. Ensure the mounting surface is flat so the pod sits parallel to the aircraft centerline.
