Antonov An-22 “Antei” aircraft model kit in 1:144 scale represents a Soviet heavy turboprop military transport aircraft developed during the Cold War to meet the requirement for long-range airlift of oversized and heavy cargo.
The An-22 Antei entered service in the late 1960s and became the world’s largest turboprop-powered aircraft. Designed by the Antonov Design Bureau, it features a high-mounted wing, four NK-12 turboprop engines with contra-rotating propellers, and a large cargo fuselage intended for transporting military vehicles, equipment, and supplies over intercontinental distances.
