Metallic Details MD70005 Photo-Etched Set provides boat davits for 1/700 ship builds, with 32 davits in four sizes. Davits are thin, exposed fittings—replacing chunky kit parts can noticeably improve the deck-edge silhouette at this scale.
This set is intended for ships that use this style of davit arrangement (project-dependent). It can be used to refresh deck equipment detail on compatible 1/700 subjects without changing the ship’s main structures.
For modelers: sort the four davit sizes before removal from the fret and test spacing against your deck plan. Make small fold lines first, then fine-tune the angle with tweezers; attach with tiny CA dots and align in a row using a straightedge to keep a consistent lean and height.
