Metallic Details MDR3264 Bristol Jupiter VIII is a 3D-printed resin radial engine set for 1/32 aircraft builds. This late-version 9-cylinder air-cooled engine is designed to give the nose area a cleaner, more defined engine face where kit parts can look soft after primer and paint.

The Bristol Jupiter VIII family appeared across a range of 1920s–30s aircraft types (kit-dependent). On many builds the engine is a visual anchor under a tight cowling opening, so sharper cylinder relief and a more consistent circular profile help the whole front end look more “scaled”.

For modelers: dry-fit the engine with your cowling and prop/spinner parts before painting to confirm clearance and centering. If your kit uses a prop shaft, drill and test the mounting hole early, then paint the engine as a subassembly and install it after the surrounding cowling surfaces are finished to reduce touch-ups.
