Metallic Details MD14434 Detail Set upgrades the C-5B Galaxy wheel bay and landing gear areas in 1/144 with a mix of 3D-printed resin and photo-etched parts. This is a “busy” zone on large transport aircraft—deeper structure and crisp ribbing in the bays can stand out even on a clean build.
The C-5B Galaxy is a large transport aircraft. The set is designed to add structural definition to wheel bays and related landing gear details while keeping the exterior silhouette of the base kit unchanged.
For modelers: test-fit the resin bay parts before closing the fuselage and check that gear legs sit at the intended angle. Paint the bay interior first, then add photo-etched overlays and small details; a thin wash can help separate the layered structure without over-darkening the area.
