Metallic Details MD7205 is a Photo-Etched Set to build one Czech hedgehog obstacle in 1/72. The PE approach helps keep the beam edges thin and consistent, which matters at small scale when a simple “X” structure can look oversized in plastic.
Czech hedgehogs are static metal obstacles often placed as perimeter barriers and roadside blocks in diorama settings. Used carefully, they add a clear man-made focal point that frames vehicle movement or defines a boundary line without needing extra narrative.
For modelers: pre-bend each arm with a flat-jaw tool so angles stay crisp, then assemble on a small grid or cutting mat to keep the geometry square. Use a tiny bead of CA at the joints and let it fully cure before handling. For a convincing finish, apply primer, then build texture with thin paint layers and subtle weathering—focus wear on edges and contact points rather than covering everything evenly.
