Description
De Havilland D.H.100 Vampire Mk.1 aircraft model kit in 1:72 scale represents one of the earliest operational jet fighters of the Royal Air Force.
The Vampire Mk.1 entered RAF service in the immediate post–World War II period and became a key transitional aircraft during the early Cold War. Designed by de Havilland, the Vampire featured a distinctive twin-boom layout and was among the first jet fighters to be widely operated by the United Kingdom.
This variant served primarily as a single-seat jet fighter, used for air defense, pilot conversion, and operational evaluation as the RAF adapted from piston-engine aircraft to jet-powered fighters.
