De Havilland D.H.100 Vampire Mk.6 aircraft model kit in 1:72 scale represents a later operational development of the early British jet fighter used by the Royal Air Force during the early Cold War period.
The Vampire Mk.6 (also known as the FB.6) was adapted for a fighter-bomber role, combining jet fighter performance with ground-attack capability. This version featured strengthened wings and provisions for external stores, reflecting the RAF’s evolving tactical requirements in the post–World War II era.
Operated primarily by the Royal Air Force, the Vampire Mk.6 became one of the most widely used variants of the type and served as an important frontline and training aircraft as jet aviation became standard within Western air forces.
