English Electric Canberra B. Mk 20 / Mk 62 aircraft model kit in 1:144 scale represents export jet bomber variants of the Canberra family developed in the United Kingdom and operated internationally during the Cold War.
The Canberra B. Mk 20 and Mk 62 designations were applied to export versions of the Canberra bomber supplied to non-RAF air forces. While based on the proven Canberra bomber platform, these variants were adapted to meet the operational and equipment requirements of overseas operators.
Like other Canberra bombers, the Mk 20 and Mk 62 featured a clean aerodynamic layout, twin turbojet engines, and high-altitude performance that made the type effective as a light bomber and strike aircraft. These export variants contributed to the Canberra’s reputation as one of the most widely operated Western jet bombers of the early Cold War era.
