Metallic Details MDR7270 is a 1/72 seat upgrade set to build two Martin-Baker Mk.7 ejection seats using 3D-printed parts with photo-etched details. At this scale, seats define the cockpit “busy look”; adding crisp side structure and thinner edges helps the seat read clearly even through small canopies.
The Martin-Baker Mk.7 is a rocket-assisted ejection seat used across multiple aircraft types. This set is listed as universal and can be applied where a Mk.7 seat is appropriate for your subject and kit (application-dependent).
For modelers: test-fit each seat in the cockpit tub before painting to confirm width and canopy clearance, then paint the seat as a separate subassembly. Add the photo-etched parts after the main paint and dry-brushing are complete, and install the finished seats late to avoid bending PE and scuffing small details during handling.
