Metallic Details MDR3218 is a resin (3D-printed) upgrade for the Emerson Electric M28 turret used on the AH-1G Cobra in 1/32. It targets the nose turret area where shape, openings, and mounting detail are highly visible, especially on a helicopter displayed on skids with the forward fuselage in clear view.
The AH-1G turret installation sits at the front of the airframe and becomes a focal point even on an otherwise closed-up model. This set is intended to refine that external feature for compatible 1/32 AH-1G builds; placement and integration depend on your kit’s nose geometry and how the manufacturer breaks down the turret parts.
For modelers: dry-fit the turret with the nose section before glue and confirm the opening diameter and rotation clearance. If your kit uses a locating ring, check thickness and sand the mating lip in small steps rather than forcing the fit. Paint the turret separately, then install it late to avoid handling damage; keep glue away from visible edges so the joint line stays clean.
