Metallic Details MDM4826 is a set of Painting Masks for the F-4B Phantom II in 1/48, recommended for the Tamiya kit. The goal is predictable, clean masking on clear parts and framing so you can keep canopy lines sharp and consistent during the paint process.
The Phantom’s canopy has multiple framed sections that are easy to misalign when masking by hand. This set helps reduce manual cutting and supports symmetry between left and right sides, which is especially noticeable on a two-seat canopy.
The F-4 Phantom II is a twin-engine, two-seat aircraft type used by multiple operators. These masks support a controlled finishing workflow around glazing so the final paint layers stay tidy and the clear parts remain crisp.
For modelers: clean the canopy parts before masking and press the mask edges down firmly along frame lines to prevent paint creep. If you paint an interior frame color, spray it first, then the exterior color. Remove the masks soon after the final coat sets to reduce the chance of lifting paint along the edges.
