ResKit RSU48-0385 is an aftermarket accessory for aircraft scale model kits, providing replacement Air Intakes for the F/A-18 Hornet family in 1/48 scale.
This 3D printed resin set focuses on cleaner intake lips and deeper trunk detail, helping the intake openings appear more consistent after painting and assembly. The parts are designed to replace the intake sections in Kinetic Hornet builds where the intake area is visually prominent.
The F/A-18 Hornet family includes several closely related variants used by different operators. Accurate intake geometry contributes to the overall appearance of the fuselage and improves the transition between the intake lips and the fuselage sides.
For modelers: begin with a dry-fit against both fuselage halves before gluing the intake trunks together. Light sanding along the mating edges can improve alignment. Wash the resin parts before primer and remove supports gradually to preserve the intake lip profile.
