The FAB-500 M-62 is a widely used Soviet 500 kg class general-purpose bomb, frequently seen on strike aircraft from the late Cold War to modern service. Its proportions and surface geometry make it a prominent external store under wing or fuselage pylons. Fine detailing ensures scale accuracy after primer and paint. Recommended kit: Any, with pylon compatibility kit-dependent.
For modelers: carefully remove supports from the tail fins before sanding. Test-fit to pylons to confirm alignment and spacing. Apply primer in thin coats to preserve surface detail and attach the bombs after completing camouflage and marking work.
