Metallic Details MDM4812 is a set of self-adhesive canopy painting masks for the FMA IA 58 Pucara in 1/48, recommended for the Kinetic kit. The key benefit is clean, repeatable canopy frame edges, especially where multi-panel glazing makes hand-cut masking slow and inconsistent.
This set is intended to speed up the canopy stage while keeping left/right framing lines even. It’s most useful if you plan layered canopy colors or need crisp borders before applying decals and final clear coats.
The IA 58 Pucara is a twin-turboprop aircraft. These masks are focused on the clear parts and framing layout, helping you maintain tidy paint boundaries without overbuilding the cockpit area.
For modelers: polish and degrease the clear parts first, then place masks using frame lines as guides and lightly burnish the edges with a cotton bud. Spray in light passes to avoid buildup along the mask edge; remove masks once the paint has set but before it fully hardens to reduce the chance of lifting or chipping.
