ResKit RSU72-0154 is an aftermarket accessory for aircraft scale model kits, providing F.O.D. covers designed for McDonnell Douglas F-4 Phantom II builds in 1/72 scale.
This resin detail set represents intake protective covers commonly seen on parked aircraft. The parts focus on clean outer edges and intake-fit geometry so the covers sit naturally inside the Phantom intake openings without requiring full intake trunk detailing.
On F-4 Phantom II models the intake openings are highly visible along the fuselage sides. Using intake covers allows modelers to depict a realistic ground configuration while simplifying the internal intake treatment on smaller scale builds.
For modelers: test-fit the covers against the intake lips before painting to confirm seating depth. Prime the resin parts first, then paint them separately and attach them during the final assembly stage to avoid masking around the intake area.
