Metallic Details MDR1200-03 is a mixed-media detailing set for SMS Seydlitz ship model kits in 1/1200. The set combines photo-etched and 3D-printed parts to refine small-scale ship features where thickness and simplified kit relief can be noticeable (fit is kit-dependent).
The practical angle is “scale-thin” shipwork: in 1/1200, railings, platforms, and small fittings can quickly look oversized if they are molded solid. Photo-etch helps keep edges thin and straight, while 3D-printed parts can add crisp relief where a flat part would not be enough.
