Metallic Details MDR4896 lets you build an air-transportable GTC-85 “Huffer” APU in 1/48 using resin, photo-etched, and 3D-printed parts. The GTC-85 is a gas turbine compressor unit used as an auxiliary power unit (APU) in ground support roles. This set is a universal accessory for 1/48 aircraft displays and dioramas, independent of any specific aircraft kit (project-dependent).
For modelers: dry-fit the main body parts early and decide whether you will display panels open or closed (if applicable to your build plan). Clean print support marks before assembly, then use primer to check surfaces; add the photo-etched details after the main construction is stable, and finish with subtle wear on edges to keep the small-scale hardware readable.
