Description
Metallic Details MDR4889 is a resin set for exterior detailing of the TADS/PNV sensor system on a 1/48 AH-64 Apache build, recommended for Hasegawa kits. The nose sensor area is a high-contrast focal point on the finished model; refined shapes help the “glass and housing” look read cleaner under paint and clear coats.
The AH-64 is a twin-engine helicopter with a tandem cockpit. This upgrade targets navigation, target designation, and night vision sensor components on the exterior (kit-dependent), without changing the main airframe assembly.
For modelers: dry-fit the resin parts against the kit nose contours before painting and check alignment from front and side views. Prime to reveal edges, then paint the sensor housings separately; add clear coats carefully around the “window” areas, and install the finished subassembly late to avoid sanding dust and fingerprints.
