Description
Hs 123A-1 (Late) attack aircraft model kit in 1/32 scale represents the rugged Henschel biplane in its later production form. This release focuses on a compact pre-war design that remained in service because of its low-speed handling, sturdy airframe, and suitability for close-support duties in difficult field conditions.
The Hs 123A-1 was a single-engine attack aircraft operated by Germany during World War II. Although its layout reflected an earlier generation of military aircraft, the type continued to be used in frontline and training roles well beyond its original development period, which makes the late version distinct within WWII-era German aircraft subjects of the era.
For modelers: dry-fit the interplane struts, landing gear, and external stores rack parts before final assembly to keep the biplane geometry aligned. It is also useful to plan the marking option early, since finishes and theater presentation vary across the included subjects.
Included marking options
- Hs 123A-1, II.(Sch)/LG 2, 2nd (assault) Group of the 2nd Training Squadron, France, Spring 1940
