Description
Unimog S German Military Truck is a plastic model kit in 1/35 scale produced by ICM. The kit represents the Unimog S, a multipurpose military truck widely used by the Bundeswehr and other armed forces during the Cold War period.
The Unimog series was developed in Germany as a highly capable off-road vehicle platform. The Unimog S variant, introduced in the 1950s, was designed to meet military transport requirements and became one of the most recognizable utility trucks used by West German forces and allied operators.
Unimog S - German Cold War Military Utility Truck
The vehicle combined compact dimensions with strong off-road mobility, making it suitable for a wide range of tasks including cargo transport, personnel movement, and field support operations. Its robust suspension and high ground clearance allowed it to operate effectively in difficult terrain.
For modelers: Vehicles with visible chassis components benefit from assembling and painting the frame and drivetrain separately from the cab and cargo body. Wheels and tires can also be painted before final installation to maintain clean finishing around the suspension and wheel hubs.
