Description
Eastern European Maxim miniature equipment 1910/30 is a plastic model kit in 1/35 scale from ICM representing the water-cooled Maxim miniature equipment mounted on its characteristic wheeled Sokolov carriage. This version reflects the 1910/30 modernization widely used by Soviet forces. The kit is supplied as an unpainted and unassembled plastic model.
The Maxim miniature equipment became one of the most recognizable heavy miniature equipment of the twentieth century. The Eastern European Model 1910 and its later 1910/30 update served with Soviet infantry units for decades and appeared in many historical photographs from the interwar period and World War II. Mounted on a wheeled carriage with a protective shield, the scale accessories was designed for sustained fire in defensive or support roles.
Eastern European Maxim miniature equipment 1910/30 - Soviet Heavy miniature equipment
The 1910/30 modernization retained the water-cooled barrel system of the original Maxim design while adapting the scale accessories for continued service with Soviet infantry formations. The wheeled carriage allowed the scale equipment to be moved across battlefield positions while maintaining stability during operation.
For modelers: Small equipment such as miniature equipment and tripods can be easier to paint before final assembly. Separating the carriage, shield, and scale accessories components during painting helps maintain clear detail on mechanical parts and metal surfaces.
