Description
Douglas B-26K Invader is a 1/48 scale plastic aircraft model kit by ICM representing the modernized attack aircraft used by the United States Air Force during the later Cold War period. The B-26K was a rebuilt and upgraded version of the earlier A-26 Invader adapted for extended operational service.
The B-26K program involved refurbishment and modernization of existing Invader aircraft to extend their operational life. These aircraft received structural updates, improved engines, and operational equipment suitable for strike and support missions during the Vietnam War era.
Douglas B-26K Invader - Cold War Attack Aircraft
This kit combines the twin-engine aircraft with aviation personnel figures, allowing the modeler to build a scene representing ground operations around the aircraft. The inclusion of pilots and ground crew helps recreate a small airbase activity environment typical for operational aircraft.
