Description
Douglas A-26C-15 Invader is a 1/48 scale plastic aircraft model kit by ICM representing a late World War II version of the twin-engine American attack aircraft. The C-series aircraft featured a glazed nose section designed for bombing and navigation duties.
The A-26 Invader entered service in the final years of World War II and became one of the most versatile twin-engine aircraft used by the United States Army Air Forces. Aircraft of the C-series configuration combined bomber and attack roles, operating in the European and Pacific theaters and continuing in service after the war.
Douglas A-26C-15 Invader - World War II Twin-Engine Attack Aircraft
The A-26C-15 variant retained the recognizable Invader layout with mid-mounted wings, tricycle landing gear, and a glazed bombardier nose. These aircraft were used for precision strike missions and support operations during the closing phase of the war.
