Ki-21-Ib “Sally” plastic aircraft model kit in 1/72 scale by ICM represents the twin-engine bomber operated by the Imperial Japanese Army Air Force during the early years of World War II. This unpainted and unassembled plastic model kit reproduces the Ki-21-Ib variant and is released under catalog number ICM72203.
The Mitsubishi Ki-21 was developed as a long-range bomber for the Imperial Japanese Army. Entering service in the late 1930s, it became one of the principal Japanese bombers during the early phase of World War II. Allied forces assigned the reporting name “Sally,” and the aircraft operated across several theaters in Asia and the Pacific.
Ki-21-Ib “Sally” - Imperial Japanese Army Bomber
The Ki-21-Ib version introduced structural and equipment refinements compared with earlier production aircraft. Its twin-engine configuration, defensive gun positions, and streamlined fuselage made it a recognizable Japanese bomber design of the period.
