Description
Metallic Details MDR4834 is a mixed-media upgrade for the MiG-25 in 1/48, designed for the ICM kit. The set targets the air intakes—a high-visibility area on this airframe—using resin parts for shape and depth plus photo-etched parts for thin edges and internal details.
The MiG-25 family has large, prominent intake trunks that strongly affect the model’s front-quarter view. This set is intended to sharpen intake geometry and improve the “look down the duct” effect without requiring you to rebuild surrounding fuselage detail.
For modelers: dry-fit the resin intake parts against the kit fuselage halves before committing to glue, and check symmetry left-to-right. Paint the intake interiors as sub-assemblies while you still have access, then add PE elements after the base coats so you don’t fill fine openings with paint. Use small CA dots for metal parts and clean any squeeze-out immediately.
