Metallic Details MD7211 Photo-Etched Set is focused on one area that draws attention on MiG-25 builds: the air intakes. In 1/72, thin intake edges and internal faces can be hard to represent cleanly in plastic, so this set is aimed at sharper geometry and a more convincing intake “depth” look.
The MiG-25 is known for its large, distinctive intake shapes. This upgrade is a universal aftermarket option for 1/72 MiG-25 kits, intended to refine intake presentation without changing the overall airframe.
For modelers: plan intake work early. Tape the fuselage halves together and test-fit the intake parts to confirm alignment before paint. If your kit has intake trunking, paint and finish the inner surfaces first, then add the PE parts as the final step for the intake openings. Use a simple spacer (thin plastic strip) while gluing to keep both sides symmetrical.
