Description
Ukrainian Submarine "Zaporizhzhia" is represented in this 1/350 scale plastic model kit by Mikro Mir. The model depicts the submarine that served in the Ukrainian Navy after the dissolution of the Soviet Union and is known as the only submarine operated by Ukraine.
The vessel originally belonged to the Soviet Project 641 class submarine series, known in NATO terminology as the Foxtrot class. These diesel-electric submarines were developed during the Cold War and widely used by the Soviet Navy for patrol and naval operations.

After the independence of Ukraine, the submarine was transferred to the Ukrainian Navy and renamed "Zaporizhzhia". The vessel later became a symbolic element of Ukrainian naval history and remains one of the most recognizable submarines associated with Ukraine.
For modelers: Submarine models in 1/350 scale benefit from careful preparation of the long hull seam before painting. Painting the hull halves and sail separately prior to attaching smaller details can help preserve clean lines along the full length of the submarine.
