Description
Sever-2 (North-2) Soviet Aerosan is represented in this 1/72 scale plastic model kit by Military Wheels. The vehicle depicts a Soviet snow-going aerosan designed for transport and patrol operations in northern and remote regions.
Aerosans were lightweight vehicles equipped with skis and powered by an aircraft-style propeller, allowing movement across snow and frozen terrain. The Sever-2 was developed for use in harsh winter environments where conventional wheeled vehicles could not operate effectively.
Sever-2 - Soviet Snow-Travel Aerosan
The Sever-2 aerosan was used for patrol, communication, and transport duties across snowy landscapes. Vehicles of this type were particularly suited to remote northern territories and seasonal winter operations where mobility over snow was essential.
For modelers: Aerosan vehicles combine automotive hull structures with an exposed propeller drive system. Painting the body and propeller assembly as separate subassemblies helps maintain sharp detail and simplifies finishing of the rear propulsion unit.
