Petlyakov Pe-8 aircraft model kit in 1:72 scale represents the only Soviet four-engine heavy bomber to see operational service during the Second World War.
The Pe-8 (ANT-42) was developed in the late 1930s and served with the Soviet Air Force throughout WWII. It was used for long-range bombing missions, strategic strikes, and special operations, including high-profile diplomatic flights and raids deep behind enemy lines.
Petlyakov Pe-8 – Soviet Heavy Bomber of World War II
Powered by four engines and featuring a large bomb bay, the Pe-8 was comparable in role to contemporary Allied heavy bombers. Despite limited production numbers, it played a significant symbolic and operational role in Soviet long-range aviation during the war.
