Metallic Details MDR72130 is a 3D-printed resin pitot tube accessory set in 1/72, intended for USAAF WWII-era aircraft projects. Small external probes are easy to break and often look thick in plastic; this set provides finer replacements for cleaner edges on finished models.
The set includes 8 pitot tubes total: 4 for the left side and 4 for the right side, allowing you to choose a suitable configuration for different aircraft types (application is kit-dependent).
For modelers: drill a small locating hole and test-fit the pitot tube before painting to avoid stress on the part. Install late in the build—after major handling and masking—to reduce breakage risk. If you paint it separately, keep coats thin so the tip stays sharp.
