Metallic Details MD4803 Photo-Etched Set adds finer interior and exterior detail to a Polikarpov Po-2/U-2 build in 1/48. On an open-structure biplane, small brackets, fittings, and cockpit elements stay visible—thin metal parts help keep those areas crisp without bulky thickness.
The Po-2/U-2 is a general-purpose biplane that includes trainer variants. This upgrade set supports a cleaner scale look on both cockpit and external details while keeping the build compatible with the base kit layout.
For modelers: plan your rigging and cabane/strut work before adding delicate photo-etched exterior pieces. Build and paint the cockpit first, then add PE parts near the end of assembly; always test-fit around strut attachment points so you don’t block alignment or create glue “steps.”
