Description
Polikarpov UTI-4 trainer aircraft model kit in 1:72 scale represents the two-seat training version of the famous Polikarpov I-16 fighter. The UTI-4 was developed to train pilots for frontline fighter operations during the pre-war and early Second World War period.
The UTI-4 featured a lengthened fuselage and a second cockpit for an instructor, while retaining the general aerodynamic layout of the I-16. These aircraft were widely used by the Soviet Air Force for conversion training and advanced flight instruction in the late 1930s and early 1940s.
