Metallic Details MDR7273 is a resin (3D-printed) seat upgrade for the Rockwell B-1B Lancer in 1/72, providing parts for four ejection seats. On a large bomber cockpit, seat shape and headbox geometry are some of the most noticeable interior features through the canopy, and this set focuses directly on that visible area.
The B-1B cockpit arrangement uses four seats, and different 1/72 kits can vary in cockpit tub dimensions and mounting points. This set is intended as a universal option for compatible B-1B builds; final fit and seat height are kit-dependent and should be checked before glue.
For modelers: test-fit all four seats in the cockpit tub before painting to confirm spacing and canopy clearance. Paint seats as sub-assemblies, then install them after the cockpit sidewalls and instrument areas are finished to avoid overspray. If you need extra strength, add a small pin under each seat and drill matching holes in the cockpit floor.
