Metallic Details MDM4822 is a self-adhesive painting mask set for the Sukhoi Su-11 in 1/48, recommended for the Trumpeter kit. It is intended to speed up masking work and keep paint edges consistent on small, repeatable areas during finishing.
The practical angle for the Su-11 is managing crisp boundaries on a compact airframe: masks help you keep edges even where curved glazing and small parts can otherwise lead to uneven hand masking (placement is kit-dependent).
