Metallic Details MD7202 is a Photo-Etched Set for the Sukhoi Su-27 in 1/72, recommended for the Zvezda kit. It covers three visible zones in one package: exterior details, cockpit/interior items, and jet nozzle components, so you can keep the finish consistent across the model.
On a 1/72 jet, the eye is often drawn to the cockpit area and the rear end around the exhausts. This set is designed to add thinner edges and sharper definition where plastic can look soft, without requiring changes to the main airframe parts.
The Su-27 is a twin-engine aircraft type used by multiple operators. This upgrade focuses on structural and surface detailing rather than markings, helping you refine key areas that remain noticeable even under a restrained paint finish.
For modelers: separate the build into modules: cockpit PE before closing the fuselage, nozzle PE during dry assembly of the exhaust section, and exterior PE after seam cleanup. Test-fit the nozzle rings and any layered parts to confirm roundness, and use a light primer coat on the metal so the final paint doesn’t “bridge” the fine openings.
