Metallic Details MDR4822 provides resin parts to detail the jet nozzles on a 1/48 Sukhoi Su-27 build (recommended for Academy). The key upgrade here is nozzle depth and petal definition—areas that stay very visible on a parked model, even with minimal weathering.
The Su-27 family features prominent engine exhausts, and a sharper nozzle profile helps the rear fuselage look more convincing without changing the rest of the airframe. This set is designed as an external detail upgrade for aircraft model kits.
For modelers: dry-fit the resin nozzles early and check the exhaust opening diameter before painting. Clean up casting gates carefully, keep petal edges crisp, then paint the interior first and finish with restrained heat-tones on the outer petals. Test-fit again after paint to avoid tight seating.
