Description
Vickers E Mk.A tank is presented as a plastic model kit in 1/72 scale by UMT. The model represents the British-designed Vickers 6-ton light tank supplied to Poland, a vehicle that influenced several early armored vehicle developments in the interwar period.
The Vickers E series became one of the most widely exported tank designs of the early 1930s. Poland acquired these vehicles and used them as a foundation for its early armored units. The design also influenced a number of later tank developments in Europe and the Soviet Union.
Vickers E Mk.A - Export Light Tank for Polish Armored Units
The Mk.A version of the Vickers E featured a twin-turret configuration intended for infantry support and reconnaissance tasks. Tanks of this type served in Polish armored formations during the late interwar years and at the beginning of World War II.
For modelers: Small interwar tanks often have compact running gear and exposed suspension components. Painting the wheels and tracks separately before final installation can help keep the details clean in 1/72 scale.
