Metallic Details MDP72003 is a 3D decals set for USSR WWII aircraft seat belts in 1/72. The set is aimed at adding visible harness relief in very small cockpits where flat belts can disappear after a wash and a matte coat.
Attention: seats are not included — this product contains only the 3D decals for the seat belts. It is intended for kit-dependent use across compatible 1/72 aircraft seats representing a WWII-era USSR harness style.
In 1/72, the belt layout often needs to be simplified by necessity, but strap placement still affects how the seat reads under a closed canopy. Use this set when you want the harness to stay visible without adding scratchbuilt belts.
For modelers: paint and finish the seat first, then apply the belts over a smooth cured surface so they settle cleanly. Test-place the pieces dry to confirm routing around the seat pan and side frames. If you plan to close the canopy, do a quick clearance check before final assembly to avoid belt edges touching the glazing.
